Chanoma Cafe Sydney

The Japanese Matcha Master .. Chanoma Cafe

Agreed that they serve the best matcha in town, from beverage to sweets, all has the green tea touch, not the mention the matcha soft ice cream.

We dropped by to try their Matcha anmitsu, Matcha float and the Creamy shrimp croquette dog from their Japa-dog menu. I am not a fan of hotdog anyway, but the real taste of matcha with a smooth matcha ice cream is enough to prove their tag line.

Located at Regent Place, on the ground floor just the opposite of Tenko Mori, in a place I would call 'Little Tokyo' with three Japanese eateries one next to each other, they are all packed with crowd during busy hours,  new favourites in town..

Naoto Fukasawa is one of the best-known Japanese product designers who enjoy drawing and making weird object since early age and established Naoto Fukasawa Design in 2003. 'I imagined that if the surface of the package imitated the colour and texture of the fruit skin, then the object would reproduce the feeling of the real skin', he said.

Green tea coke

Only in Japan..

I hardly drink soft drinks like coke but I do love drinking tea. Jasmine, oolong and green tea are my favorite ones. How about Green tea coke? Sounds so Japanese for me..
I believed the great benefit of antioxidant from green tea but I doubt it will change my perception about coke even it comes in green tea flavour.

Green tea-flavoured Coca Cola hit Japanese stores this Monday (June 8). They claimed that it contains tea antioxidants called catechins, leaves a slight green tea aftertaste and is mainly targeted at health-conscius woman in their 20s and 30s, Coca Cola (Japan) Co. spokesman Katsuya Sato said.

"We wanted to cater to people who are looking for something that tastes good but is also good for health and beauty," he said.

Rival Pepsi Cola is countering with another exotic cola, Japanese basil-flavoured Pepsi Shiso, which will hit stores in late Jue.
